DIO BIO · HUMAN NUTRITION BUYER GUIDE
Creatine Powder Private Label: Packaging and Specification Checklist
An effective creatine powder brief connects the ingredient specification to the pack the buyer intends to sell. A tub photograph and a net-weight target leave important questions unanswered. Use the checklist below to make those questions explicit before requesting a quotation.
1. Identify what the powder is
Write creatine monohydrate as the requested ingredient identity and state whether the proposed product is single-ingredient or a blend. NIH ODS discusses creatine in its sports-nutrition fact sheet; that general background does not verify a supplier’s batch or your proposed formula. Request the specific ingredient specification and list every additional ingredient before comparing offers.
2. Turn physical descriptions into checkable requirements
If micronized is part of the brief, ask for a particle-size specification and the method used to assess it. Describe the appearance, handling and mixability characteristics you want to evaluate in a sample. Agree the evaluation conditions rather than relying on a general adjective such as premium. Keep a record of what is a requested characteristic and what the supplier has actually confirmed.
3. Connect serving information with the finished fill
Record the requested net fill, proposed serving and whether a scoop is wanted. Ask how the number of servings will be calculated and how any scoop measure will be checked against the powder. Decide whether the product is unflavored or has a requested flavor system. Do not copy a serving statement from a reference pack if the formula and fill are different.
4. Review the packaging as part of the product
Provide your preferred tub or pouch dimensions, closure and label requirements. Ask what sealing and storage considerations need review for the proposed powder. Confirm whether the quotation includes the container, scoop, label and optional carton. Inspect the physical sample and artwork together so a promising packaging image does not conceal an unresolved fill or labeling decision.
5. Define the document and market brief
Ask about ingredient identity, relevant batch testing, traceability and any other documents requested by your importer. State the exact destination and sales channel. If a certification or trademarked ingredient is important to your brand, request evidence for that specific scope; do not assume it is included. Finalize the specification and approved label version before confirming a production scope.
Your inquiry brief
Destination country, sales channel, product identity, proposed serving specification, preferred format, estimated quantity, pack direction and document requests.
Write to be confirmed for information you do not yet have. Ask what must be resolved before the quotation, artwork and sample stages. MOQ and timing for the selected specification are confirmed in the project discussion.
