BUYER GUIDE

What to include in a supplement inquiry

A short checklist for a clearer first conversation.

Product and project type

Send the product name or reference code and choose ready stock or OEM / ODM. If you are still exploring, describe the ingredient direction and intended product format.

User, species and destination

Identify human users or the animal species and life stage. State your destination country and label language. These details help frame the product and document discussion.

Quantity and packaging

Give an estimated number of bottles, packs or units. Specify existing packaging or your own brand, plus the preferred container, fill size and label direction if already decided.

References and open questions

Attach a clear product photo or specification if available. State which details are fixed and which need advice. List any sample, testing or documentation requests so their scope can be reviewed.

Minimum order and sampling: ask for the basis, not just a number

Give a requested quantity per item, with its unit, selected specification, package and destination. Ask whether the quoted minimum applies to that selected combination, and what changes would require another review. For sampling, agree what is being supplied, what it is intended to demonstrate, the approval points and the documents still needed. Artwork or sample timing is separate from production and delivery; keep unresolved timing explicit.
